I was VERY excited to head back to my alma mater recently and spend time at Joliet Junior College. It was an incredible opportunity to reconnect with the campus that played such an important role in shaping my journey. While there, we had meaningful discussions about JJC’s proud history as the nation’s first public community college and the impact it continues to have on students, families, and the local workforce. We also looked ahead to the college’s future, talking about innovative programs, workforce development initiatives, and ways to keep higher education accessible and affordable for all.
It was truly inspiring to see how Joliet Junior College continues to grow and adapt while staying true to its mission of providing quality education and opportunity. I’m proud to be an alum and look forward to continuing to support the students, faculty, and staff who make JJC such a vital part of our region.
