If you’re a traveler and don’t have a valid passport, you have less than 1 year to obtain a REAL ID with the Illinois Secretary of State’s office.
You will need the following documents:
– A U.S. Birth Certificate, Proof of a Social Security Number, two current residency documents that list your full name, and an official document with your signature.
