Today’s Farm Safety Week reminder focuses on one of the most dangerous places on a farm: grain bins.
Flowing grain can trap and engulf a person in a matter of seconds. Never enter a grain bin while grain is moving, and always follow proper lockout/tagout procedures before entering.
If entry is absolutely necessary, use proper safety equipment, have an observer present, and follow established confined-space procedures.
No job or deadline is worth risking a life. Please make safety the priority every single time
