During Farm Safety Week, today’s reminder is simple: slow down, stay alert, and never take equipment safety for granted.
Before heading to the field:
• Check equipment before operation
• Keep guards and shields in place
• Turn equipment off before making repairs or clearing jams
• Wear your seat belt when operating equipment with a ROPS
• Make sure lights and slow-moving vehicle signs are visible
Farmers spend countless hours in and around heavy equipment, especially during harvest. Please take the time to make sure you and everyone working alongside you gets home safely.
