As so many of my livestock friends make their way to the State Fair, I just want to take a moment to wish each and every one of you safe travels!
And to every kid getting ready to walk into that show ring — good luck! You’ve put in the early mornings, long days, late nights, and countless hours of hard work to get here. No matter how the show turns out, remember that the lessons you’ve learned, the friendships you’ve made, and the memories you’re creating will stay with you long after the banners come down.
Be proud of yourselves, enjoy the moment, and soak it all in. Your livestock may be the ones standing beside you in the ring, but the dedication, heart, and hard work it took to get there belongs to you.
